Ferrari Races Into High Fashion

Ferrari is most known for competing on the Formula One circuit but when the Italian carmaker revealed in 2019 that they were working on a new lifestyle project, rumors were flying around as to what this new project could be since they tapped Rocco Iannone as creative diversification director. Ionnone was tasked with finding a way to expand the brands fan base towards the younger generation as well as women, although he noted that women have always been part of their fan base but not as well represented.

Fast forward to today, with the launch of their Ready-to-Wear fashion collection, which consisted of 52 looks. Many of the pieces in the collection were touted as unisex so both men and women could rock the same garment if they wished but style it however they saw fit to match their own unique style.

As with all things Ferrari, their approach to their collection was similar to their approach with creating their iconic supercars. Known for bold lines, vibrant colors, and premium luxurious materials, the Italian carmaker created the perfect apparel to complement their supercars. It was no surprise that they would include colorful prints featuring some of their most iconic vehicles or re-work their logos into statement garment pieces.

Although I don’t personally have one of their iconic supercars….YET, I was very impressed with their collection. Some of my favorite pieces from the collection was the multi-print dress, blazer dress w/belt, red cropped “moto” style jacket, and green car print dress. Ferrari has definitely made a very bold statement with their first collection, and I believe we should continue to watch out for what they come up with next.

If you’d like to purchase any of these items, they’ve been strategically releasing “drops” of new items on their website, which you can check out here.

Until next time, stay safe and healthy!
