New York Fashion Week - CHOCHENG Spring/Summer 2022

What’s up guys!

Comin’ at ya with another designer show. This one is from CHOCHENG!

CHOCHENG is a womenswear designer label launched by Cho Cho Cheng. Cheng studied fashion and costume design at Parsons School of Design and also took on an apprenticeship in London to study traditional British tailoring.

The very first CHOCHENG boutique opened in 2010 in New York, with a second location opening in Beijing in 2015. In 2019, flagship location opened in the prestigious Fifth Avenue area of New York.

For this Spring/Summer 2022 collection, Cheng was inspired by the opera, “The Intoxicating Concubine,” which is about the famous royal consort, Yang Guifei whose beauty stunned the flowers into submission and thus becoming Mimosa.

Loving this designer’s use of color with each silhouette. My absolute favorite piece is that red blazer - TO DIE FOR!

I am planning on trying to catch one other show - we’ll see if I’m able to make it. Lol. So stay tuned!
