New York Fashion Week - C+Plus Series Spring/Summer 2022

Hey again!
As you can tell by the title, I’m about to report on my next designer for today. That designer is C+plus Series.

Taiwan born (YEA, REPRESENT! Lol.) designer, C.T. Liu switched his career from film to fashion. The fashion label was founded in 2018 and debuted his first collection at New York Fashion week shortly after.

This new SS2022 collection is inspired by Austrian poet Rainer Maria Rilke’s poem, Presentiment, particularly with the following quote: “I feel the coming wind, and am disturbed as the sea.” Taking on the “presentiment” or foreboding feeling about the future, Liu summarizes the recent reality throughout this collection - trying to balance the tolerance of contrasting design elements, such as structural silhouettes that could be seen as fragile with flow.

Some of my favorite looks can be seen below.

I’m going to be honest, this collection had the kind of color palette I really like, which made it hard to only select a few images from the show. If you don’t know what that color palette is, let’s just say…..DARK! Lol.

Anyway, I loved the ones I ended up choosing as the silhouettes of the pieces are ones I would be drawn to purchase myself! AND…supporting a Taiwanese born designer is always a plus for me.

So that wraps up C+plus Series, and I will be back with at least one more designer today (if not more).

Until then, stay safe and healthy!
