Mini Dayventure to San Francisco
Last Sunday, the Hubs and myself along with two (2) other friends/co-workers decided to skip the 100 degree temps in Sacramento and headed to SF for the day. Our friends who also happen to be fellow photographers had new equipment they wanted to test out, so we thought it would be the best way to test out how well it worked in a “real world” kind of situation (and get out of the heat…lol).
We started over in Marin Headlands at one of the many gun batteries along the coastline. We stopped at Battery Mendel near the Point Bonita Lighthouse for the 1st outfit, which was an Animal Crossing themed tie-front top paired with a “newsboy” cap, black denim jeans, and black combat boots. It was very overcast due to the Tulle fog kind of “sitting” on the coastline but strangely was super bright at the same time. It was eerily quiet when we first got there but after an hour, more people started showing up. Haha. We also got some video footage for our friends to review for their equipment tests and decided that we should find another spot for additional testing after some lunch.
After lunch at one of our favorite spots, we headed over to Golden Gate Park. Although there were more people here, they were socially distancing themselves from each other (family groups) and US - so that was nice. I changed into my 2nd outfit, which was this beautiful cream midi dress with balloon sleeves. The dress was paired with one of my favorite hats, some heels, and a bamboo bag.
Overall, it was great to get away from the house for the day. It’s “vibe” is very different because of the mandatory mask wearing rules, but it was still better for us mentally to be able to get out and go do something.
We’ll slowly venture out more as time goes on because I have more fun stuff coming up.
Until then, stay well, stay safe, and be nice to each other.
